The Thunder Vette Set (TVS) supported three high school homecoming parades and games with Corvettes for their Courts and Royalty in September and October. Also in October, 22 members drove their Corvettes in the Tombstone Helldorado Days Parade. November 11 several members participated in the Veteran’s Day Parade in Sierra Vista with their patriotic décor. November 18-19 TVS sponsored the Corvette Thunder 2023 Car Show, Dinner, and Autocross in Sierra Vista. Trophies were presented to the Top 10 People’s Choice. This was our best show since Covid, many people participated in the show, and as spectators. On December 2, members participated in the Palominas Christmas Parade followed that evening by the Parade of Lights in Sierra Vista. All Corvettes were decorated for the holidays with hundreds of lights. On December 9, the announcement of newly elected officers took place at the TVS Christmas Dinner hosted by Kathy Preble and her family. Fabulous Italian dinner was served, and gifts were exchanged.

On October 29, members of Corvette Club of Arizona (CCA) descended upon A.J. Chandler Park, Chandler, AZ to host the 2023 Chevys in The Park Car Show with 120 registered cars. Ron Gliot successfully chaired this event. Each registration included a $10 donation to Packages from Home, a non-profit charity that sends “packages from home” to overseas members of the Armed Forces. The Charity received a check from CCA for $1200. Plans for another Corvette in The Park is underway for the Spring 2024.

The Colorado River Corvette Club (CRCC) celebrated the anniversary of the Corvette on November 4 with a social gathering beside the Colorado River. At the November 11 Veterans Day Parade in Bullhead City and Kingman, AZ lined the streets with Corvettes. Leading the parade were members who were in the military displaying signs with their name, branch, rank, and dates of service. Spectators shouted, “thank you for your service.” They have a multi-talented group of members and at the November meeting did a “Gilligans Island” skit.
